Trauma-Informed Somatic CE for Therapists and Social Workers
Practical, scope-appropriate yoga therapy tools that help trauma-exposed clients regulate, without recounting or re-exposure.
Earns 6 NASW-CT-Approved CE Credits | Fully Online | $89
When clients feel numb, frozen, disconnected, or not fully present, talking can increase distress rather than ease it.
Insight alone does not reach a dysregulated nervous system, and pushing for narrative can make things worse.
This training focuses on non-verbal, body-based tools that support safety, agency, and reconnection, without requiring trauma recounting, narrative exposure, or re-experiencing. You will learn trauma-sensitive movement, breathwork, and meditation strategies that help clients stay oriented, regain a sense of control, and participate actively in their own healing, whether you work in an office, in institutional settings, or over telehealth.
By the end, you will learn:
- Trauma-sensitive movement, breath, and meditation practices you can use within your scope
- How to recognize hyperarousal, shutdown, and dissociation, and respond with the right practice
- Contraindications and risk awareness, so you can practice safely
- How to introduce and cue practices for hesitant or activated clients
- Delivery that works over telehealth as well as in person
